We hope you love your new shoes! But if they’re not quite right, we’re here to help.
- Online purchases: Full-priced items can be returned within 14 days for a refund, store credit, or exchange (by attending one of our stores). Sale items purchased online are eligible for a store credit or exchange only (by attending one of our stores). We do not offer a refund on sale items.
- In-store purchases: Full-price items can be returned in store within 14 days for a store credit or exchange. We do not offer refunds on full-price items purchased in-store. Sale items purchased in-store are final, so please choose carefully.
- All items must be unworn, in original condition, and returned with their packaging.

Our Return Policy
ONLINE PURCHASES
• Full-price items may be returned within 14 days for a refund, store credit, or exchange.
• Sale items are eligible for a store credit or exchange only.

AUSTRALIAN RETURNS
• Use our Returns Portal to generate an Australia Post return label.
• A return shipping fee of $12.95 will be deducted from your refund or store credit.
• Our Returns Portal can be used for orders with up to two items (under $750.
• If your order includes more than two items, please email info@stepaheadshoes.com.au and we’ll assist with your return.
• Orders over $750 are not eligible for complimentary return shipping labels. Return postage will need to be arranged by the customer.
INTERNATIONAL RETURNS
• International return shipping is at the customer’s expense.
IN-STORE PURCHASES
• Full-price items may be returned within 14 days for a store credit or exchange.
• We do not offer refunds on in-store purchases.
• Sale items purchased in-store are final sale, so please choose carefully.
• All items must be unworn, in original condition, and returned with their original packaging.
Sale Items
Online purchases:
• No refunds on sale items.
• You may visit either of our stores to exchange for another size or style.
• Alternatively, if returning online, sale items can be returned for a store credit (less the $12.95 return shipping fee).
• Final sale items (50% off or more) cannot be returned or exchanged.
In-store purchases:
• Sale items purchased in-store are final, so please choose carefully.
Returning Items
• Shoes must be tried on carpet and returned in original condition with the box.
• Items must be returned within 14 days of receipt.
• In-store exchanges require proof of purchase.
AfterPay Returns
• Returns paid via Afterpay may take up to 7 business days to process.
• An additional $10 handling fee per item will be deducted from your refund.
How to Return or Exchange
To return online for a refund or store credit, please use our Returns Portal link.
Please note: Our Returns Portal can be used for orders of up to two items. If your order includes more than two items, please email us at info@stepaheadshoes.com.au and we’ll arrange a returns label for you.
All deliveries are issued with a Step Ahead Online Store returns form. For full price items, please select whether you wish to receive a refund or store credit on the returns form. This must be completed and sent back with your shoes.
You are also welcome to visit one of our stores to exchange items purchased online; however, refunds are not available in-store for online purchases.
