Returns and Exchanges
Step Ahead Shoes Online Returns Policy:
We are happy to happy to offer an exchange, refund of store credit for items purchased online within 14 days of receiving them. Please note that refunds are not available for in-store purchases.
Exceptions to Our Returns Policy:
- Sale Items: Refunds are not available for our sale items. However, they can be exchanged for a different size, style or store credit. Store credits have no expiry.- Final Sale: Shoes purchased at 50% off or more are final sale. No exchanges or returns are excepted.
- Flash Sale/Promotional Events: Items purchased during flash sales or promotional events are only eligible for store credit or exchange.
Exchanges:
- We offer free shipping on your first exchange. However, if you need to exchange the item for the second time, we will issue you a store credit for the value of the shoes, minus a $10 fee to cover postage costs.
Returning Items:
- Return postage is at the customers expense.
- Please ensure that both the shoes and the shoe box are returned undamaged and in their original condition. Shoes should be tried on a carpeted surface to avoid damage.
- If returning your online purchase in-store, we can offer an exchange or store credit only. Refunds for online purchases cannot be processed in-store.

The returns process can take up to 7 business days from the date your return was received. Please note a AU$10.00 per item return handling fee will be deducted from the refund amount when you use this service.

All deliveries are issued with a Step Ahead Online Store returns form. This must be completed and sent back with your return, along with your receipt to:

Once the item(s) have been received and reviewed, you will either receive your new items (for exchange), or a refund for the cost of the purchase. Refunds will be issued directly to the credit card used for the purchase. Email notification will be sent once the return has been processed.
All items purchased Online MUST be returned to Step Ahead Shoes Online for returns or exchanges. They will NOT be accepted in Step Ahead Shoes stores.
